Introduced in 1990 Velvia film is a professional grade, daylight balanced, colour reversal film known for its super saturation. If you want to picture what Velvia looks like, think about the movie, What Dreams May Come. I’m not using this as a metaphor either, this movie was one of the few films shot on Velvia.
Not quite the same Velvia though. Because in 2005, Fuji discontinued it, and reintroduced it with a slightly different formula. Velvia 50 in particular was introduced in 2007.
